"The Source" is the supposed source of magic in the Amazon Basin. Emmet initially sets out to find the source as his final mission into the wild but is lost during the search and leaves behind only video tapes showing his journey. Kurt seems to have prior knowledge of The Source and often is heard talking over his phone to an unkown party about the lengths he will go to to protect The Source.
